2. The letters stand for British Thermal Units, a measurement of the heat generated by a grill or other heat source. The Top Grill offers more burners, more searing, and more BTUs than any other grill in the world.

3. The smaller the gauge number the thicker the material (the top grill pedestal model uses 11 ga 1/8" thick stainless steel in the pedestal, base and grill bottom. That is why the OPM-24 weighs in at 250 Lbs.

4. House gas can either be natural or liquid propane gas (LP), but generally it is natural gas.(All top grills are available in either natural or lp gas)

5. LP stands for liquid propane. The gas is sold by weight in liquid form when it is pumped into tanks. 

6. Pour a cup of warm tap water down the side of the propane tank. It will be warm above the level of liquid propane in the tank, but very cool where the liquid sits.

7. It's always BBQ time someplace in North America. You'll have more selection if you buy in the late winter, and your grill will be shipped in time for the spring BBQ season.

8. Cast iron is the best because it acts as a heat sink and it sears and brands every time. All top grills offer heavy commercial cast iron grills as standard equipment.

10. With direct cooking, the food is in direct contact with the fire. Indirect cooking keeps the food  away from the fire where it is generally cooked with the radiant heat. All Top Grills can cook both styles flawlessly.
