Welcome to our Gallery of Grills

Here’s where we introduce you to all the choices you have when choosing an Iron Works gas grill.

First choice: how big

Your first choice is, how much cooking surface do you want? Our smallest cooking grate area is 2 feet wide and an inch short of 2 feet deep – nothing cramped here. But for real elbow room, we also offer models that are 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 feet wide.

Our three smallest widths are our biggest sellers, as you might expect. Our biggest models are very popular for production cooking (they can do 500 burgers an hour) at places like restaurants and country clubs, but that’s not all they’re good for. We make big cooker-smokers too. You can also see how the grills are made on our factory tour page.

If your own entertaining tends to be eclectic, a bigger grill gives you the room to be preparing lots of different things at once. Imagine a grill that can roast a turkey, bake a pizza, roast corn, bake potatoes, broil burgers, grill fish, bake a cake, braise fruit and grill steaks all at once – kind of opens the mind up to new ideas, doesn’t it? You can even use your Iron Works gas grill for wok cooking! And, if you're a really good host, you'll love the ambiance you can create with the products on our outdoor entertaining page.

Next choice: mounting

We offer three main choices on ways to hold our grills up.

Our pedestal base is best when the grill is always going to be in one place. You can even bolt down the pedestal base if you want to. And one of our custom options (it costs a little more and may take a little longer) adds a door so you can use the pedestal base as a handy place for storage.

This is the new OCB-24 enclosed base grill without the Iron Works traditional 16 inch big wheels. This grill uses the same 4 caster plate as the pedestal grill. It can be lifted off with out the use of any tools to be placed directly on a deck, just like a build-in grill.

The enclosed cabinet offers a huge 7.2 cubic feet of storage, with self closing non mechanical commercial hinges and double thickness stainless steel entry door. It comes standard with an interior door mounted magnetic tool storage rack and perforated bottom for air circulation.

Our standard cart mount is very popular. We use big, easy-rolling, bicycle-style tires on spoked wheels at one end, swivel casters on the other. A bottom shelf helps bring your grill gear along for the ride.

Or choose an enclosed base cart mount for cabinet-like storage, with our same sleek steel styling.

Rather mount it yourself, or let your back deck or patio builder/designer do it for you? We have built-in options available, too.

Now there’s a color choice

Most of our buyers like our "naked" stainless steel look just fine. But it’s not your only choice.

For our Designer Series grills, we bond an enduring, long-life color powder coating to our superb steels. We offer 6 standard color options (black, royal blue, yellow, putty, red and forest green), plus dozens of custom colors, including some no rainbow has ever seen.

And if you’re the kind of person who wants the best of the best, no matter what, you’ll definitely want to see our exclusive copper (plus stainless steel) cookers in the elegant Signature Series (available standard in 3, 4 or 5-foot cooking grate widths, or by special order in our other sizes).

This choice gives you choices

bmk.jpg (29712 bytes)Have you ever heard of Bain Marie cookers? (Sometimes they’re called hot water baths). Restaurant chefs love them for the flexibility they bring to preparing and cooking food, and to keeping food "in bloom" when guests are late and it has to be held.

Now guess who’s the first grill manufacturer to offer a Bain Marie top on its many models. (Did everybody say "Iron Works"?)

With an inch of water in one of our Bain Marie top’s pans, you can cook so gently and dependably that you can make custard on the grill. Need to coddle an egg? Steam vegetables? Cook a lobster? Boil shrimp? Warm rolls? Wait a minute! Since when are these things you can do on a grill?!

Well, that’s what makes our Bain Marie top the choice that gives you choices.

Yeah, more choices

Fuel’s another choice. Just let us know if you’d prefer natural gas or liquid propane.

Charcoal is another choice. We offer the CC-80 with a fully adjustable charcoal holder allowing you to chose one of three cooking heights. It also has a water pan to allow you to increase the humidity in your cooking environments. You may also want to look at our charcoal fired CC-80.

While we don’t mention it much, we also offer a selection of fire brick lined charcoal outdoor grills.

You can choose our standard stainless steel cooking grates, our heavy duty cast steel grates or our incredibly appealing titanium grates.

All our models come standard with wide 17-inch side shelves on both sides, but if space is a little tight for you, we have 12-inch shelves available, too. You don’t have to make any choices to get our front spice and bottle rack or our utensil/utility hooks – those come standard.

Visit our value page for our price list. Check out our options page for still more choices.   Like our 60,000 BTU/hour side burner. Our exclusive Prep Table. Vinyl Covers. Smoker box. An umbrella holder. And a few other goodies.

And don’t you dare leave this site before you visit our Company Store!
