| More years together
You may like our warranty better 5 full years, "nose to toes" if anything goes wrong, well fix it. (The actual terms of the warranty come in writing with the grill, or you can ask us for a copy. It has the usual legal stuff about covering defects in manufacturing or workmanship - not covering acts of God, war or negligence that kind of thing). We mention our warranty first not because its the most important topic on the subject of long grill life, but just to get it out of the way. In practical terms, we take very good care of our customers, with or without a warranty. And in practical terms, we dont hear about very many problems at all - we typically encounter fewer than a dozen in a whole year. Now we get to the much more interesting part. We recognized early on that in manufacturing, we have two choices. Make good on problems later, or make good products designed to avoid problems right from the start. To us, that comes down to two words. Dont compromise. Want a good example of that? We dont put those pushbutton piezo
spark igniters in our grills, because weve never found one thats reliable
enough in the short term, let alone the long haul. So you have to light our grills
yourself. (We are looking at a promising electronic igniter, but it will have to survive a
good deal more testing before we make any commitments). There are plenty of other examples.
We wont sell as many grills this way as we might if we designed them to rust and fail. But we will sleep better. And if all this moves you to buy a Top Grill, long life is one concern you can now put to bed. What about parts?Grills that last this long may need the occasional replacement part. We've thought of that when we designed the grills. You don't have to be an expert to make a repair to one of our grills. If you do need a replacement part, we'll have it in stock. Just give us a call and we'll send you the right part quickly and make sure you know how to install it.
