Plank cooking

Cedar or mesquite plank cooking is easy and tasty, especially for the more delicate foods such as fresh trout

Start with a cedar plank, with nails driven in to the edges. Then use thin wire to lace the fish to the plank, along with some fruits or vegetables.

Your meals will taste even better with some of the fine spices and flavorings from The Iron Works. (You'll find them on the Company Store pages).

The Cedar plank can be placed on the grill (away from direct flames) to allow the fish to pick up the indirect heat along with the distinctive flavor of the cedar.

Note the handle for ease of manipulating the plank.

You can flip the plank upside down to allow direct cooking, with the wire keeping the fish and flavorings attached to the plank. Jun15_03.jpg (34800 bytes)
