Scrap Book - Summer 1998
| The Iron Works scored a major success at the International Casual
Furniture and Accessories Market trade show in September. Paul reports "Our new
line introduction has gone very nicley with many new dealers signing on to carry the Iron
Works line of Top Grills. Visitors to our booth just loved the service and prep carts, the
desginer BBQ tools, and the enclosed base grills." |
 |
Here is Steven Spykman of Hundsonville, Michigan. Steven
traveled 2.5 hours to visit our factory and purchase his new Iron Works OCD-24
w/sideburner in Patina Green. When he visited us on Sunday the 13 of September, we

| Here's a beaming Mike Brown of Johnstown, Ohio who stopped by
the factory to pick up his OPM-48 with front storage doors. Mike is a real Ohio State
football fan. (regular readers will know that Iron Works President Paul Faaborg is a major
MSU Spartans fan). Paul says "See you in Tempe, Az. in January, for the first
national championship playoff game." |
Here's Stoney Green of Silver Lake, Michigan with his 3 year
old Iron Works OCB-24 cooking and enjoying the weekend. Stoney made:

Paul sends in this photo of an "ancient fresco"
painted on the walls of Carl's Patio in Pompano Beach, Florida. It shows an Ironworks
BMK-24. |
Saturday July 18, James and Paula Piggott, of Sterling Heights, Michigan
came visiting at the Stockbridge, Michigan factory and showroom. (Did we mention we have a
retail store where you can see the grills and the accessories?) James and Paula received
the full factory tour, and shared fishing and cooking recipes with top Griller Paul
Faaborg.
You can see from the photo at the right, the Piggots have stocked up on grilling
accessories from the Company Store. |

| Topgrill owner Rob Reis poses with his Iron Works Bain Marie
kitchen, on the patio outside his Palo Alto, California home. Rob's outdoor kitchen
includes a sink, storage, and prep area.
Rob and his wife Julie chose the Iron Works Grill because of its quality construction
and cooking performance. |
 |
| Iron Works President Paul Faaborg was a guest of Rob and Julie Reis as
they officially "opened" their outdoor kitchen. Paul cooked up a standing rib
roast, filet of salmon smoked with Iron Works mixed pellets, grilled new potatoes,
portabella mushrooms, mixed peppers, chicken breast with Iron Works raspberry BBQ sauce,
and fresh asparagus. The meal was accented by California wine and freshly baked pies.
Guests included Rob and Julie's two children, her sister and husband and their child,
along with the designer of their garden and his fiance. |

Here';s Steve Buchman's Iron Works grill (at left)
on the deck of his kitchen in San Francisco's exclusive Pacific Heights neighborhood.
Steve and his wife entertain about twice a week, and Paul promises to make a date on his
next visit to show off his culinary skills. |
| More happy Top Grill owners came out of the Costco Business
Center in Hayward, California on the last weekend in June. Paul reports about ten grills
were purchased on the weekend. |
 |
 |
New Top Grill owners Lydia and Conrad Jones of San Bruno, Califonia. They
purchased a Costco OPM-24 with side burner. Lydia and Conrad were gracious enough to stop
and let Paul take their photo.
|
That's a real fan!
We find that many Top Grill owners just love to show their new grills to others, but
Todd Pinel of Fairfield, California probably has the largest audience so far. Todd created
a special page on his web site to show us his new Iron Works Top Grill.
 |
| Here's Todd's back yard. We've taken the liberty of
highlighting the Top Grill with a yellow circle. |
